  • WOULD YOU LIKE TO BETTER UNDERSTAND THE PROCUREMENT AND PURCHASING PROCESS?
  • DO YOU HAVE IDEAS FOR HOW THE GOVERNMENT AND DEFENSE PROCUREMENT PROCESS CAN BE IMPROVED?

If so, you are urged to attend a conference for Southern California companies that produce technologies or services that can be used in counter-terrorism, homeland security or emergency response. There is no charge to attend, but you must RSVP to
(RSVP@southbaypartnership.com) in order to be admitted.

Panels feature executives and decision-makers from Federal, state and local agencies and large government contractors - responsible for procuring and purchasing products and services that government agencies use for counter-terrorism, homeland security or emergency response.

Government entities expected to participate include:
The Department of Defense, DARPA, In-Q-Tel (the CIA's venture capital fund),
The State of California, The County of Los Angeles.

In addition, a panel of selected small and medium-sized businesses will present their products and experiences as vendors and contractors.

Finally, policymakers and key executives will discuss ways of improving the process of interaction between the public and private sectors.

CONGRESSWOMAN JANE HARMAN, RANKING MEMBER ON THE HOUSE SUBCOMMITTEE ON TERRORISM AND HOMELAND SECURITY WILL GIVE AN OPENING KEYNOTE AND LEAD THE POLICY DISCUSSION.

The conference features an "expo" of selected products, services and technologies related to counter-terrorism, homeland security or emergency response.
